What is Xtrust?

Xtrust is a controlled delivery system for encrypted clue documents. You encrypt your asset clues locally and upload them. When you become unreachable for a configured period, the system delivers the encrypted file and decryption hints to your designated recipient.

Can Xtrust read my uploaded file contents?

No. Files are encrypted on your device before upload. The platform does not store your decryption password or answers and cannot read the file contents.

Does the recipient need to log in?

No. The recipient receives the encrypted file and decryption hints via email (or physical mail for annual plans) and decrypts independently.

Can I go live with a project without subscribing?

No. Without a subscription, you can only save local drafts. Projects are not uploaded to the cloud and delivery is not triggered.

What if I forget the file password?

The platform cannot recover your password. We recommend leaving sufficient memory clues in the decryption hints for your recipient.

How does inactivity detection work?

The system monitors your login activity and social media (if connected). Once the waiting period is exceeded, it enters a silent period and begins multi-channel reminders until you confirm or delivery is triggered.

How do I stay active?

There are four ways to stay active: 1. Use X (post tweets, comment, like, or bookmark) — the system detects your social activity automatically; 2. Log in to Xtrust web and click the "Check in" button to refresh your activity status; 3. After a period of inactivity, click the confirmation link in the system email to restore your active status; 4. In the final stage before delivery, the system will automatically call your registered number as a final reminder.

What happens when delivery is triggered?

The system sends the encrypted clue file and decryption hints to your recipient. You can still click "Check in" during this period to stop the process.

Can I cancel an ongoing delivery?

Yes. As long as the delivery has not been completed, you can click "Check in" to immediately stop the process and reset to the waiting period.

How do I change the recipient?

Go to the project settings to update recipient information. The new recipient will need to verify their email address.

How does the platform ensure data security?

Xtrust uses a zero-knowledge architecture — we never store your password and cannot read your files. Data is redundantly stored across distributed nodes with tamper-resistant audit trails.
